 Meridian
began life in 1987 as a specialist consultancy service
providing expertise in the fields of structural and mechanical
engineering. In 1998, with the in-house engineering skills
developed from servicing large scale mining companies, Meridian
established an industrial weighing systems division.
Today,
Meridian has established itself as a unique Australian
company that offers quality in-house designed large
scale weighing and loading products combining with specialist
engineering consultancy services.
The multi-disciplinary
team of engineers at Meridian have developed innovative
products for industrial weighing and loading. Meridian has
successfully completed projects such as providing control
systems to load 30,000 tonne iron-ore trains automatically,
and then weigh them on the move at speeds up to 80 km/hr.
